CardSwap Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of CardSwap as a trading-card platform. They are a practical launch draft and do not replace individual legal advice.

1. Platform role

CardSwap provides a platform for lists, match suggestions, messaging, and trade coordination. CardSwap is not a direct party to any trade, not a shipping provider, not a payment processor, and not a card custodian.

2. Beta status and availability

CardSwap may operate in beta. Features, prices, match suggestions, translations, and integrations may be inaccurate, incomplete, or temporarily unavailable. Continuous uninterrupted availability is not guaranteed.

3. Prices and external data sources

Price and card data may come in whole or in part from third-party sources such as Scryfall. This data is provided for reference only. Prices may be stale, inaccurate, or incomplete and do not constitute a binding offer, valuation, or financial advice.

4. User responsibility

  • Users are responsible for accurate details about edition, condition, language, finish, quantity, and shipping.
  • Users may only list cards and content they are entitled to use or transfer.
  • Users are responsible for evaluating trade partners and choosing safe communication and shipping methods.

5. Prohibited conduct

  • Fraud, intentional misrepresentation, ghosting after shipment, spam, abuse, or harassment are prohibited.
  • Automated access that places unreasonable load on the platform or third-party data sources is not allowed.
  • Attempts to bypass security, rate limits, or moderation controls are prohibited.

6. Accounts, suspension, and moderation

CardSwap may restrict, suspend, or archive accounts in response to abuse, security risks, repeated complaints, or apparent fraud. Automated or manual moderation may consider match history, ratings, and dispute reports.

7. Liability framework

To the extent permitted by law, CardSwap is provided without warranties regarding availability, match quality, pricing accuracy, or successful completion of any trade. Liability for indirect losses, lost profits, failed trades, or inaccurate third-party data is excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.

8. Changes

CardSwap may change these terms, features, or integrations at any time to improve the service, respond to incidents, or meet legal requirements.
